Advance Reservation Priority (ARP)

A feature of the Sports Illustrated Resorts Club program that gives MVPs priority to request and confirm reservations at their “home” resort(s) 14to 12 months in advance of their desired check-in date.
 

Assigned Use Right

The automatic right of an MVP, as set forth in their deed or purchase contract, to occupy a specific unit or a specific unit type.

Bonus Points

Developer points that are offered to new MVPs when purchasing a new ownership through Sports Illustrated Resort Club. Bonus Points have up to a 24-month usage period in the Sports Illustrated Resorts Club program.

Club

A multi-site timeshare plan developed or offered by or through Sports Illustrated Resorts Club, in which club members do not own a deeded interest in the club’s resort properties, and their use rights within the club are denominated in points.


F

Facility Fees/Home Owners’ Association Fee

The annual fee and/or assessment paid to the timeshare home owners’ association for the operational costs of ownership interests who have assigned their use rights to the Sports Illustrated Resorts Club Vacation Ownership Plan.


G

Guest Confirmation

A confirmation that is issued when a Sports Illustrated Resorts Club MVP allows a guest to occupy their reserved unit accommodations. Guest confirmations are required for each unit the MVP(s) of record is not occupying.


H

"Home" Resort 

The resort where the MVP’s ownership interest is located, other than those accommodations at the resort designated as a Presidential Reserve Suite or those interests at the resort that are part of the Sports Illustrated Resorts Club Vacation Ownership Plan.

Maintenance Fee

The annual fee and/or assessment paid to the timeshare home owners’ association for the operational costs of ownership interests who have assigned their use rights to the Sports Illustrated Resorts Club Vacation Plan

Modify

Ability for a Sports Illustrated Resorts MVP to change an existing reservation.

MVP

An owner with Sports Illustrated Resorts Club.


N

Nightly Unit Limit

No more than 10 units may be confirmed per resort per night. For locations with less than 50 units, no more than 20% of the total units in the club may be reserved.


O

Ownership Interest

A “right to use” interest which may be accepted into the Vacation Ownership Plan.


P

Plan Manager

The administrative manager of the Sports Illustrated Resorts Club Vacation Ownership Plan.

PlusPartners®

A benefit included with a Sports Illustrated Resorts Club contract that allows the MVP to use their points stay nightly through a designated collection of RCI Resorts.

Points Protection Program

A feature that gives MVPs the ability to avoid points forfeiture when cancelling reservations during the points forfeiture window.

Property Owners’ Association (POA)/Home Owners’ Association (HOA)

The “home” resort condominium, townhouse or timeshare association in which an MVP belongs.

RCI Exchanges®

The program that gives Sports Illustrated Resorts MVP’s access to more than 3,400 resorts worldwide through an external exchange.

Reservation Timeline

The timeframe in which a particular reservation type can be made within the Sports Illustrated Resorts program.

Season

The time division into which the use days at each resort location or association are divided by demand into Hall of Fame, Legend, All-Star, and Rookie.
 

Sports Illustrated Resort Club Points

The symbolic unit of measure allocated to an MVP in connection with the use rights in an MVP’s ownership interest, which has been assigned to the Sports Illustrated Resorts Club Vacation Ownership Plan Points have no intrinsic value separate and apart from the ownership interest. Points are used to establish value for seasons, unit size, and resort locations.

Sports Illustrated Resort Exchange

The resorts and hotels that are available directly through Sports Illustrated Resorts Club using Sports Illustrated points. The Sports Illustrated Resort Collection does not include resorts or hotels that may be available using external programs including Plus Partners®, Worldwide External Exchanges, and Varsity Pass.

Sports Illustrated Resorts Facility Fee

The fee MVPs pay to Sports Illustrated Resorts Club for the operation of the program (“Program Fee”) as well as to cover the expenses related to the use rights assigned to the Sports Resort Vacation Owners Association Inc. including the maintenance fees assessed by the Home Owners’ Association of the “home” resort (“HOA Fee”).

Standard Reservations

Reservations that may be confirmed from 12 to 24 hours in advance of the desired check-in date.


U

Unit Type

The size, configuration, sleeping capacity, style and other features of unit accommodations.

Use Rights

The rights an MVP has to use, occupy and possess a unit accommodation, which are assigned to the Sports Illustrated Resorts Club Vacation Ownership Plan in exchange for Sports Illustrated points.

Use Year

The 12-month period during which an MVP may travel on vacation using their point allocation.

Use Year End Date

The last day of the Use Year assigned by the plan manager. The unused points and allocated to an MVP expire each year.

Use Year Start Date

The first date that an MVP may travel during the 12-month Use Year.


V

Varsity Pass

The exchange program giving access to a collection of Club Wyndham resorts outside of the Sports Illustrated Resorts Club collection.
